Indian Arm Snow Wheeling

My friend Ron (rubichronic) and I decided to check if we could make it to Indian Arm last sunday. The road was mostly ok and some sections were a little scatchy. Midway through the tire tracks finished and we started braking trail. The snow was 2′ deep in certain areas but it was powder and soft. When we started decending down towards the arm, snow disappeared. On the way back we were also able to do some night wheeling on the snow. It was an amazing trip that one I will always remember πŸ™‚

Jan 1st 2016 snow wheeling

As our new tradition, we hit the road on Jan 1st for a new adventure. Picking a location was a little tricky this time because my daughter and her friend was coming with me. Plus the jeep was not feeling well either. So I couldnt go anywhere technical. Thanks my friend Dave, he suggested Ross Lake which none of us has been there before. It turn out to be a perfect destination for a snow wheeling day. We had lots of fun. There were lots of kids on this trip and laughters and screams will stay in my head for a while. It is amazing to watch them having so much fun.

Splash and Snow

In this video, we were wheeling in 3 different locations in 3 different days. First area is the Jan 1st, 2014 wheeling in East Harrison. We were having fun in the water. Making some splashes. The second area was Stave lake area up Slyvester Road. This old sunken forest looks very spooky. Having it covered with snow was even spookier. The third area is Eagle Mountain. This trail is hard enough without snow. It was harder with snow. I got stuck once and had to winch myself out. Dave didnt get stuck at all. We both made it to lookout.

Whipsnow 2013

This year we did Whipsaw trail when it was under snow. The whole area looked totally different when it was under snow. It was still challenging enough to go through the trail. We had 2 guests from Washington in their Hemi powered AEV jeep. There was also a brand new stock 2013 Rubicon which did extremely well on the trail. Everybody had a great time. I am looking forward to do more snow wheeling in 2014.

First Aerial Video

We were back in Squamish Area last weekend. My new friends Cedric and Krista joined me on this adventure. Cedric is an aerial videographer. I was so excited to have them with us for aerial videos and they were so excited to see what my jeep can do. It took us 6 hours to drive to the side of the lake and only 45 minutes to come back the same distance. There were close to 20 dead tree falls on the road. We pushed and pulled and managed our way through it. Cedric was only able to do 1 flight by the lake right before it got dark.

Snow Wheeling

This is the video of our 3 runs over 3 days. We started on January 1, 2013 in West Harrison area. On 3rd we went to Eagle mountain and on 6th we were on Britannia FSR. We had plenty of snow. I broke my steering stabilizer on Eagle mountain. Britannia FSR was full with fresh snow. We had to some logging but hey! this is how we maintain our access to our back country πŸ™‚

We went up the Mamquam River FSR last weekend. It wasn’t a technical ride but the scenery was well worth. We also had a couple in their 2012 new JK Rubicon. It was the first time they took their jeep offroad. I hope they liked it. My jeep is a lot of fun after the mods but I sometimes miss the stock form of my jeep when I see other shiny stock jeeps πŸ™‚

Eagle Mountain

This is our trip to Eagle Mountain. It is one of my favorite wheeling trails. The trail is non stop rock crawling all the way to the top. At the top there is a lookout with beautiful views of Vancouver and North Shore Mountains. There is also a big rock at the back of the lookout where you could take your jeep on top. You definitely need spotters there not to drive off the rock into a 40 feet drop.

This is the second part of Snow Jeep movie. This is our trip to Eagle Mountain and Furry Creek FSR. Lower sections didnt have snow but upper parts were packed. It was a awesome day for snow wheeling and to try some different angle shots.
